God’s Word is Enough

God’s Word is Enough

I’m going to be real with you family and let you know that I am stuck. The Lord used to send me topics to write about and wake me up in the middle of the night just to write, but lately that’s stopped and as you can see, it’s been at least a month since I’ve written anything. I’ve been sitting here for the last four hours listening to motivational speeches, reading other blogs that inspire me, coming up with different logo ideas (hence the new logo) and thinking about how I can reach you all and inspire you. After asking the Lord why he stopped talking to me the way he used to, I realized, with the help of my husband, Durand, that I need to accept the fact that God’s word is enough. Not Micayla’s words.

GOD’S WORD.

So on that note, here is a prayer from Paul that I sincerely need and that has caught my eye during my season of silence.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Ephesians 1:15-23 NIV

Lord please forgive me for not letting your Word be enough for me. Please help me and my brothers and sisters in Christ as we desire to grow more in you. Please give us the strength to deny our flesh daily and the will to trust in you with ALL of our heart. Lord please teach us how to take off sin forever and follow you for life.

In Jesus name,

Amen.
