Meet The Founder & Editor

If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering who I am, just as much as I’m wondering who you are; or maybe, we already know each other. Regardless, we’re both connected in love through Christ and I am blessed to share this life with you!

Hi! My name is Micayla Robertson and I am the Founder & Editor-In-Christ of IronWifey.

If this is your first encounter with me, hello! I’ll introduce myself first and we can work on building our relationship.

Here’s what you might want to know about me:

• I’m a follower of Christ
• I’m 26 years old
• I’m married to an amazing man named Durand! (Yes… like the band)
• We reside in San Diego, CA
• I love to tell stories
• I’m a pretty good listener

and. . . . I’m secretly a nerd who enjoys video games and watching my husband play.  (No, I don’t play much myself, but I’m getting there lol!)

I find it interesting how helping my husband start a Youtube channel, sparked an idea for a blog, which eventually became a magazine, podcast network, and an overall lifestyle. I believe that IronWifey is God’s gift to me to express all that He places on my heart, to tell stories, and to bring people together by cultivating a community of women sharpening each other in Christ. IronWifey is a reminder for women to celebrate and uplift each other in Christ, as well as an outlet for storytelling and encouragement. When I first came across Proverbs 27:17, it spoke volumes to me! To understand the depth in iron sharpening iron made me realize how powerful we are when it comes to loving one another as Christ loves us.

I love love, life, and all things Christ. When I’m not blogging, editing, designing, or training myself in the Word, I can typically be found enjoying life with my loving husband, and cherishing every day that God blesses me with. I may also be interviewing a random stranger about their story…I love podcasting!!
